BAHS Admission for 2023 Academic Year

Facts about Academic Calendar and Admission

• The semester calendar of BAHS program is as follows: 
Semester 1 is between mid-June and early-November
Semester 2 is between the end of November and March

• There are two channels for admission applications:
"CMU-IPAS" - the admission website for applicants from schools outside Thailand, international schools in Thailand, and non-formal educational system that ​has an equivalent to the high-school level.
"TCAS" - the admission website for applicants from Thai schools who have Thai A-Level scores

• For CMU-IPAS, there are two rounds for launching the applications
IPAS 1 is from 1 November 2022 to 5 January 2023.
IPAS 2 is from 14 February 2023 to 24 March 2023.
We accept around 40 qualified applicants in CMU-IPAS system.

For TCAS, there are four rounds for launching the applications
TCAS 1 is from 1 - 10 November 2022
TCAS 2 is from 14 - 23 February 2023
TCAS 3 is from 7 - 13 May 2023
TCAS 4 is from 28 - 29 May 2023
We accept around 15 qualified applicants in TCAS system.

Requirements and Documents for CMU-IPAS

• General Requirments
- Has completed or is studying in the last year of the high school (because the "high school level" of various countries are different, please refer to the official admission annoucement of CMU for the specific details of recognised high school qualificaitons)
- Hold the result of English language test (an exemption is given to native English speakers).

• Portfolio
Applicants are required to submit a portfolio that contains the following items:
1) Applicant’s Curriculum Vitae
2) The information about applicant’s involvement in extra-curricular activities which show the development of leadership, or critical thinking, orwhich is a community service. The information should be displayed through visual means such as photos or links to videos AND textual means such as the descriptions of activities in the photos or videos.
3) A short statement of purpose (400 – 700 words) that responds this question: “In the humanities, which subject excites you the most and why BA Humanities and Sustainability program?”

All documents that make up the portfolio should be formatted on A4 papers and saved as PDF.

• IPAS Track 1 or Track 2?
Track 1 is for applicants who DO NOT hold the following English test results: 
IELTS, TOEFL, Dulingo, CMU eTEGS, CU-TEP, and TU-GET.

Track 2 is for applicants who hold the English test result with the minimum of following scores: 
IELTS - 5.5
TOEFL - (iBT) 70, (ITP/PBT) 525, (CBT) 196
Duolingo (DET) - 85
CMU eTEGS - 65
CU-TEP - 73
TU-GET- (PBT) 600, (CBT) 68.

A native English speaker is exempted from providing English test result and can apply through Track 2.

Requirements and Documents for TCAS

• General Requirments
- Has completed or is studying in the last year of the high school in Thailand
- Hold the result of English language test (for applying in TCAS 1 only)

• Portfolio (for TCAS 1)
Applicants are required to submit a portfolio that contains the following items:
1) Applicant’s Curriculum Vitae
2) The information about applicant’s involvement in extra-curricular activities which show the development of leadership, or critical thinking, orwhich is a community service. The information should be displayed through visual means such as photos or links to videos AND textual means such as the descriptions of activities in the photos or videos.
3) A short statement of purpose (no more than 1000 words) that responds this question: “In the humanities, which subject excites you the most and why?”
4) The result of one of the English language tests:
IELTS - 6
TOEFL - (iBT) 78, (ITP/PBT) 530
Duolingo (DET) - 92
CMU eTEGS - 70
CU-TEP - 75
TU-GET- (PBT) 700, (CBT) 75.

• TCAS 2, 3, and 4
**please note that TCAS 2 is only for students from schools in the northern region of Thailand.
Applicants are required to submit the following A-Level scores when applying in TCAS website:

English - 55 (minimum) [weight 51%]
Social Studis - [16% weight]
Applied Math 2 - [16% weight]
Applied Sciences - [16% weight]
Thai language (only for TCAS 2) - [1% weight]

For TCAS, there are four rounds for launching the applications
